WHO IS A MENTOR?
Mentorship is a relationship in which a more experienced or knowledgeable person helps to guide a lesser experienced or knowledgeable person.

ORIGIN
The word Mentor was adopted from the character "Mentor" in Homer's "The Odyssey." Mentor was a trusted friend of Odysseus, the king of Ithaca. Mentor served as friend and counsel to Odysseus' son Telemachus when Odysseus fought the Trojan War.

WHO IS A MENTOR?
A mentor is an experienced or knowledgeable person who helps to guide a lesser experience or knowledgeable person in a particular field.
A mentor inspires you!
A mentor motivates you!
A mentor challenges you!
Important things you should know.
* Mentorship is a relationship, often long term relationship.
* Age does not matter in mentorship. The Mentee can be older than the mentor or vise versa.
* The mentor must know a lot about the particular field.
How do you know when you are confused about Mentorship?
* When you call everyone your mentor.
* When you want to submit to, and be mentored by everyone you see.
* When you are not submitted to anyone because you want to make it on your own.
* When you don't have value for yourself and hence seek to identify with every authority.
* When you have a couple of mentors on the same specific area.
* When you call someone you don't have direct access to your mentor. Some one you have never seen, never talked to, never discussed or
communicated with, in person or through the internet.
* When you are too familiar with someone you take as your mentor. You call the person by his name, you pat him on the back, you make jokes about him, you discuss him every where with everyone. You behave anyhow in his presence, you don't show him any amount of respect and reverence! You even take calls during your sessions with him, may be to show how busy you are!
* You always talk a lot when you are with him instead of allowing him to share his wealth of knowledge accumulated over the years!
