Dear Friend,
One important thing about discovering one's self as a musician is that you won't have any reason to compete unnecessarily with other musicians. Discovering what you are very good at, and finding your uniqueness in that area is one of the best life achievements.
1. Discovering your 'self' will help you direct your energy on things you can do better, thereby, saving time, resources and energy.
The energy, resources, time that otherwise, would have been spent on non profitable ventures would now be channeled to activities connected to your strengths.
2. You are always in your zone. You feel comfortable in what you do. And I repeat, their will be no reason for unnecessary competition because you feel at home with what you are doing, you are now playing to your strength.
